The Plutus Prospect currently contains an Inferred Mineral Resource of 15.9 Mt @ 1.6% Cu and 16.4 g/t Ag at a cut off grade of 0.6% Cu (Figure 2). The recently upgraded total mineral resource for the Boseto Copper Project, reported in accordance with the Australasian Code for Reporting of Exploration Results, Mineral Resources and Ore Reserves (The JORC Code, "2004 Edition") is: 50.2 Mt @ 1.5% Cu and 17.8 g/t Ag at a cut off grade of 0.6% Cu containing approximately 753 kt Cu metal and 29 Moz silver. The Plutus infill drilling programme forms part of the Boseto Bankable Feasibility Study (BFS). As with all other prospects at the Boseto Project, the Plutus Mineral Resource remains open at depth. Further recent drilling (announced April 2009) confirmed that Plutus joins the Petra Prospect to form one continuous zone of mineralisation. The combined Petra and Plutus Prospects remain open along strike to the south west of Petra for a further 13 kilometres based on drilling, soil geochemical anomalism, trenching and mapping. Details for all 91 holes are reported in Table 1 and a selection of results is displayed in plan in Figure 3 and in section in Figures 4, 5, 6 and 7. Implications for Boseto The Plutus infill drilling programme continues to produce results that reinforce the outcomes from previous drilling campaigns. This round of drilling results includes assay information from a number of shallow holes specifically drilled to improve the Company's understanding of the near surface mineralisation, where previous drilling and metallurgical testing has demonstrated the presence of significant amounts of oxide copper minerals including Chrysocolla and Malachite. The drilling programme is continuing with the primary goal of returning sufficient assay data to upgrade portions of the Plutus resource into the Indicated Resource category. A new estimate of the Plutus Mineral Resource is currently planned to be completed late in 2009. The data from these 91 holes is consistent with previous results confirming the continuity of copper-silver mineralisation over an extensive strike length (exceeding 12,000 metres in the combined Plutus and Petra Mineral Resource areas). These results will also further assist in defining the boundaries of higher grade mineralised zones within the overall Plutus mineral resource where the grades exceed 2% copper. These +2% copper zones are anticipated to enable development of shallow higher-grade starter pits which will contribute to improved project economics. Discovery Metals' Managing Director, Brad Sampson commented, "The confirmation of the continuity of mineralisation, and the grades and thickness of the mineralised zones come as no surprise but remain important outcomes from this round of drilling results. This drilling programme was designed to upgrade portions of Plutus into the Indicated Mineral Resource category and give us improved understanding of the shallow mineralisation which will be targeted for initial mining." "As the drilling programme continues at Plutus, it is becoming apparent that Plutus may be the logical starting point for mining activities at Boseto", he added. Boseto Project Background Discovery Metals' Boseto Copper Project (100% owned) is located in north west Botswana, approximately eighty kilometres south west of the town of Maun, within the district of Ngamiland. A seven tenement package was granted to Discovery Metals in September 2005 and fieldwork on this tenement package commenced in October 2005. The Government of Botswana approved the Company's renewal of these tenements in September 2008 and all prospective areas were retained by the Company. In June 2008, Discovery Metals was granted an additional seven tenements extending from the south west boundary of the original 2005 granted tenements through to the Namibian border, adding 5,700km2 to the area held under prospecting licenses bringing the total current tenement area to 10,100km2. The outer limit of the exploration licence area starts approximately sixty kilometres south west of Maun and stretches in a south westerly direction for approximately three hundred kilometres to the Namibian border. The Boseto Copper Project is located within a belt of significant copper-silver mineralisation that extends from the well known and more highly developed Zambian Copper Belt across north-west Botswana and into Namibia. The poorly explored and undeveloped portion of this belt in north-west Botswana is known as the Kalahari Copper Belt. Copper in the Boseto Project area, occurs predominantly in chalcocite, with minor amounts of bornite and other copper sulphides present. At shallow depths, malachite and chrysocolla by replacement oxidation exist in significant proportions within some areas of the mineral resource. The total Mineral Resource for the Boseto Copper Project, reported in accordance with The Australasian Code for Reporting of Exploration Results, Mineral Resources and Ore Reserves (The JORC Code, "2004 Edition") at a cut off of 0.6% Cu is: 50.2 Mt @ 1.5% Cu and 17.8 g/t Ag containing 753 kt Cu metal and 29 Moz silver A Pre- Feasibility Study for the Boseto Copper Project was completed on time and on budget in July 2008. Discovery Metals is currently undertaking a Bankable Feasibility Study for the Boseto Copper Project.
