Mariana Resources Limited announced on 13 May 2009 the placement of
shares to raise up to £1.09 million to institutional investors and
others at a price of 3 pence per share. Issue of the first tranche
of 22,220,001 shares was announced on 15 May 2009. The balance of
the placement comprising 14,467,366 shares has been allotted and the
capital of the company is now 104,494,235 ordinary shares.
Directors participated in the placement; John Horsburgh, through his
superannuation fund purchased 667,000 shares, John Sutcliffe
purchased 1,666,667 shares and Ray Angus purchased 2,000,000 shares.
As a consequence shareholdings of directors including their
associates are as follows:
J R Horsburgh 3,187,002 shares
J Sutcliffe 3,266,667 shares
R J Angus 5,354,300 shares.
Directors and management now control 11.7% of the issued capital of
the Company.
