Transmode appoints new Country Director in Japan

Stockholm, Sweden & Tokyo, Japan - 27th April 2011 - Transmode, a leading supplier of optical networking solutions, today announced the appointment of Naoko Kurauchi as Country Director Japan. Ms Kurauchi will be based in Tokyo. Simon Naylor, Transmode's Head of Sales Asia Pacific commented, "Japan is one of the largest markets in Asia Pacific and Transmode is demonstrating its commitment to this market by expanding the team with someone with the experience and track record of Kurauchi-san. Ms Kurauchi joins the Transmode team at a time when Asian sales are growing rapidly and she is the latest addition to the growing APAC sales team. Naoko has more than 20 years of experience in IT and telecommunications, having previously held senior sales and marketing management positions with Citrix Systems Japan, Airspan Japan, Juniper Networks, UUNet and MCI WorldCom Japan. She also has substantial experience of working cooperatively with Japan- headquartered NEC, Transmode's global sales and integration partner. Marathon- runner Naoko studied pharmacy at Osaka University before obtaining a Masters in Interactive Telecommunications at New York University, US.
