PANAMA, REPUBLIC OF PANAMA--(Marketwire - January 7, 2013) - Thunderbird Resorts
Inc. ("Thunderbird" or "the Company") (FRANKFURT: 4TR) (EURONEXT: TBIRD) is
pleased to announce the following: Salomon Guggenheim was named President and
CEO of the Company and will retain his position as Chairman of the Board of
Directors. Mr. Guggenheim has worked closely with Management since 2002 when he
first joined the company as director. Peter LeSar, who was appointed interim CEO
and President in June 2012, will retain his position as CFO. By way of
background, Salomon Guggenheim joined Gutzwiller & Partner Ltd., Zurich, a
portfolio management company, where he was responsible for Investments and
Trading. In 1991, Mr. Guggenheim gained control over Gutzwiller & Partner from
E. Gutzwiller & Cie., Banquiers, Basle (a privately-held Swiss bank) together
with the senior management of Gutzwiller & Partner, through a management buy-out
and sold the company in 1997. Gutzwiller & Partner was renamed Rabo Investment
Management Ltd., where Mr. Guggenheim worked as a Managing Director until
December 2001. Since 2001 and up to 2012, he owned and operated his own company,
IC Day Trading Consulting Corp., a Swiss corporation focused on the advisement
of private individuals in portfolio management and daily trading activities in
different markets worldwide. Mr. Guggenheim was also the Chief Executive Officer
for Ecopowerstations Ltd., a Swiss corporation dealing with pollutant and
emission-free wind power stations and that tenure ended in 2011 when the company
was sold. Mr. Guggenheim currently serves in various companies as a board member
including LB Swiss Investment LTD, Zurich, which specializes in the management
of private label mutual funds, currently managing mutual funds with over $2
billion in assets (owned 100% by Frankfurter Bankgesellschaft (Swiss) Ltd.,
Zurich) and Simmen Wirth and Partners Inc, Zurich, a traditional Swiss
independent public relations company, which specializes in corporate
communications, investor relations and crisis management.
