Stockholm, Sweden - 24(th) January 2013 - Transmode, a global supplier of
packet-optical networking solutions, today announced that it has appointed Mark
Burton as VP Sales for Europe. Formerly Regional Sales Director for UK and
Ireland, Burton has helped grow Transmode's revenues in the region to become one
of the company's largest sales regions globally.

Burton has taken on his new role at a time when Europe's major
telecommunications providers need to invest in future-proof technology for the
provision of bandwidth. Transmode has significant ongoing business relationships
with both Tier 1 carriers and alternative service providers. He will continue to
be based in the UK and oversee the European sales team and partner programs.
Burton has more than 25 years' experience in the telecommunications industry and
specialises in high value carrier and enterprise business sales and people
management. His technology specialism is in switching and optical technology. He
