Qurius announces acquisition of Spanish company Bindar

23 May 2008 - Qurius and the Spanish IT-company Bíndar have signed a Letter of Intent regarding the acquisition of Bíndar by Qurius. Bíndar, set up in 1989, is one of the main Microsoft Dynamics partners in Spain, employs about 80 staff members and has its head quarters in Madrid. In 2007 Bíndar achieved net sales of 5.9 million. By acquiring this established company of considerable size, Qurius will improve its scale in Spain, one of the multinational's key countries. "Joining forces with Qurius means that I have ensured a stable future base for my customers and employees as part of my planned succession," says Joaquin M. Alonso, Bíndar's Managing Director and ultimate shareholder. Number one Microsoft partner in Spain Qurius already holds a rather strong market position in Spain in Microsoft solutions and services. "However, by increase in scale we will be able to better respond to the market and to improve the company's margins," says Tom Stolk, Qurius director and responsible for the international operations. "Bíndar delivers the same core Microsoft-based integrated business solutions as Qurius does, but, having customers in different industries, they complement the Qurius business. By combining both companies, Qurius Spain will be the absolute number one in the Spanish market." Both parties aim to conclude the transaction by September 1st 2008 and have agreed on a transaction price of 6 times Earnings before Tax 2008. Bíndar S.A.
