Atos Worldline at the heart of telemedicine with Respir@dom

19 maart 2013 Paris, 19 March 2013 - SANTEOS S.A., a health subsidiary of Atos Worldline, announces the official launch of the Respir@dom project. SANTEOS has instigated, in conjunction with its partner Réseau Morphée, an interoperable telemedicine system that enables patients suffering from sleep apnoea syndrome to be monitored remotely. The project aims to improve patient compliance and treatment outcomes. For nearly 10 years SANTEOS has assisted the MORPHEE network, leader of the Respir@dom project, in the implementation of innovative services to improve the care of patients suffering from sleeping problems. Respir@dom is today an unprecedented initiative in France and Europe as it involves all relevant parties - patients, home healthcare providers, manufacturers of medical devices, healthcare professionals and institution - and provides a particularly wide range of services: * Telemonitoring solution in real time for patients treated using respirators (PPC) * Alerts sent automatically to providers and carers, according to the nature and gravity of the situation * Medical information held on the Medical Sleep Record * Patient monitoring programme (mobile application, serious game, community space) The multiple roles of SANTEOS within Respir@dom: In collaboration with numerous project partners, SANTEOS conceived the architecture of the service, and led the coordination of exchanges with ASIP Santé, and GCS D-SSIF in Ile de France, for the project to fully comply with the regional and national plan for health information systems in France. Respir@dom was the first project to win a telemedicine contract with ARS Ile de France. The company has also worked to ensure that security is guaranteed end-to-end and the regulatory framework respected: patients are identified with their unique French national health system number (INS), strong user authentication of all parties involved (using CPS or an equivalent system for all service providers and patients), authentication of manufacturer servers transferring data to Respir@dom, and medical data storage recognised by the Ministry of Health. Furthermore, SANTEOS project manages and stores the Medical Sleep Record, which is at the heart of the Respir@dom service. This Medical Sleep Record, designed by the Morphée network, allows prescribers and home healthcare providers to share medical data (diagnostic, patient treatment, data gathered in the home, ...) to improve patient monitoring and also to access monitoring dashboards (time spent using the machine, index of apnoeas and hypopnoeas, technical faults etc.). Patients can also register levels of motivation and satisfaction from their smartphone throughout their treatment. DMP feed is also possible. Finally, the company gathers data flow from the servers of the various manufacturers involved in the project, in a format that complies with the medical information systems interoperability framework, and sends targeted alerts to home healthcare providers and prescribers. SANTEOS has therefore employed all its skill and expertise in order to make Respir@dom a success: M2M (Connected Machines), IHE (interoperability medical data storage) recognised by the Ministry of Health, Business application: Medical Sleep Record, push multichannel (Alerts), Business Intelligence, Health education programmes.
