Beter Bed: lower profit in third quarter 2013 due to lower revenue in Germany

11 oktober 2013 Revenue in Germany in September 2013 turned out to be worse than expected. Beter Bed Holding N.V.'s operating profit in the third quarter will consequently be lower than the amount indicated in the press release published on 30 August 2013. Operating profit for the third quarter of 2013 is now expected to decrease by more than 40% compared to the comparable quarter of 2012. Fewer visitors reflect the current, low propensity to buy in Germany with respect to items including furniture, mattresses and beds, jewellery, books and household appliances. We do not foresee any improvement in this trend for the time being. Beter Bed Holding N.V. will publish its definitive figures for the third quarter of 2013 on 1 November 2013.
