In response to recent press reports, Cnova confirmed today that it is currently reviewing, together with certain of its affiliates, the possibility of a transaction in which Cnova's e-commerce business in Brazil would be combined with Via Varejo S.A.
Cnova cautioned that there can be no assurance that it will pursue any such transaction, or as to the timing, price or terms that might be agreed. Any such transaction will require the approval by Cnova's board of directors and independent transaction committee. As a matter of policy, Cnova does not comment on market speculation or rumors.
